To further enhance our existing wide range of door stays, we recently increased the number of patterns of Spring Recoil door stay we keep in stock. Spring recoil stays offer protection against the possibility of door and hinge damage when the door is unexpectedly flung open. This is achieved by the incorporated spring acting as a shock absorber and reducing the stress at the hinge side if a door gets caught by the wind or pushed open at force.

Various types are stocked including medium duty patterns, heavy duty patterns, mortice patterns for timber door use, surface fixing patterns for use on metal doors and even all stainless steel patterns for use in harsh environments. Separated into two categories; American & European, the addition of the new patterns really enforces Zero as the door stay specialists.

Finprotect Plus

Zero Seal Systems Ltd are pleased to announce design improvements to the existing Finprotect product, creating the new Finprotect Plus. The main improvements to Finprotect Plus are that it is stronger, quicker to fit, able to be removed and re-fitted, shorter so does not require trimming on standard 2040mm high doors and now can be used with double action floor springs because of the introduction of a new broader #120 profile. Still available in a wide range of colours Finprotect Plus has been tested to 1 million cycles.

Proquinter Spring Hinges

We have a wide range of quality spring hinges available from stock. They are stocked in various sizes to suit both single swing or double swing doors. All patterns offer adjustable spring strength to alter the closing power and are supplied with a tension bar and locking pin. They also have a lubrication hole in the knuckle for periodic maintenance.

The standard mild steel hinges that we carry have a riveted head (except 200mm size), but are also available with threaded classic caps to special order. Standard stocked finish for the mild steel is silver sprayed AVG. Some patterns are available in polished brass, polished chrome, zinc plated steel, self colour steel and also satin stainless steel. All hinges will suit either clockwise or anti-clockwise closing doors and are packed in pairs without screws.

Concealed Manual & Automatic Flush Bolts

We stock a wide range of flush bolts including fire rated & non-fire rated, manual & automatic, and for both metal & timber doors.

The Z003R manual extension flush bolt has been included in a successful 4 hour fire test on a steel door to BS476: Part 22: 1987. It is also ANSI standard (American National Standards Institute) meaning the fixing holes are always in the same pre-determined place which is ideal for pre-prepped doors. Our Z001 manual non-fire rated extension flush bolt can be supplied with either steel or nylon tipped rods and a flat or radius face. The Z001 is manufactured from Mazak zinc alloy.

We also offer two types of automatic flush bolt, the Z004 for metal doors and the Z005 for timber doors. These come as two bolt sets and automatically engage when the door is closed, and retract when the door is opened. They do not require any power or electricity and are, as the Z003R, ANSI standard.

Weld-On Hinges

Bullet lift-off hinges for welding are now available from stock. We offer a complete range of high quality weld-on hinges for welding to steel doors and frames. Sizes vary from heights of 40mm up to 200mm, and pin diameters of 10mm up to 22.2mm. There are 5 series in the range; the HPL WR 0 have a steel pin and brass washer, the HPL WR 1 have a brass pin and brass washer, the HPL WR SS are manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel with a stainless steel pin & washer, the HPL WR SM series has a grease nipple for maintenance purposes and the HPL WR A are adjustable with a steel pin and white galv. steel ball bearing washer. Good stocks are carried of each series for immediate despatch.

Zero Relocates!

Zero Seal Systems Ltd has recently moved into new premises. Mainly due to very limited space in the office area Zero had been looking at solutions for some time, and when a unit with a larger office area became available on the same industrial estate, they decided to take it. Sales Director Mark Lockley commented “We had been rather squashed in the office for a while but had put things on hold due to the situation with the economy. However, an ideal unit became available within a few hundred yards of where we were so because of the minimum moving costs due to its location, we decided to move. This now gives us room to expand when necessary in both the warehouse & office areas and puts us as a company in a good position for the future”.

Zero now operate from units 43-45 Ladford Covert, all phone and fax numbers remain unchanged.

LoPro Low Profile Metal Vision Frames

The LoPro is a pre-fabricated metal vision frame for steel & timber doors. It is easy to install and provides a low profile, ‘flush to the door look’. The LoPro uses 44mm sheet metal screws that pass through the door cut-out and fasten to the opposite side of the vision frame, thus eliminating the need to drill the door for through bolts and saving installation time and labour. It also leaves the corridor side of the frame free of fasteners for added security and a cleaner, more aesthetic appearance. The LoPro is suitable for use on fire rated doors, when used in conjunction with appropriate glass and glazing tape, also available. They are available in steel and stainless steel and also to suit various thicknesses of door and glass.

We would like to give advanced notice that we will be moving. We are soon to relocate to larger premises. Due to our continuing commitment to service levels, which in turn means keeping good stock levels, we need to expand. The larger premises will give extra floor space in both the warehouse and office areas, and put us as a company in a good position for many years to come.
