Zero Seal Systems

These self-adhesive cold smoke seals have been widely used by door manufacturers for many years, particularly steel door manufacturers. All three are the shape of a teardrop, hence the name. They are manufactured from silicone which is flame resistant and self-extinguishing. They are fitted in the frame stop across the head and down both sides of the door.

188S STANDARD TEARDROP SEAL

The original and most widely used Zero frame seal manufactured from self-extinguishing silicone and with PSA pressure sensitive adhesive tape to back. Cold smoke seal with air leakage performance tested to BS476: Part 31.1. Suitable for fire rated doors with 4-hour fire rating to BS476: Part 22: 1987. Suitable for internal and external doors.

488S MINI TEARDROP SEAL

Developed for doors with smaller frame gaps, but identical to 188S above in all other respects, including fire and smoke performance. Cold smoke seal suitable for fire rated doors. Suitable for internal and external doors.

388S LARGE TEARDROP SEAL

Most recently developed teardrop seal for larger than usual frame gaps, but identical to 188S and 488S in all other respects including fire and smoke performance.  Cold smoke seal suitable for fire rated doors.  Suitable for internal and external doors.
